Cheryl Greer Jarman is a member of the Human Development Core Faculty at Pacific Oaks College and Children's School. She holds the distinction of being the senior faculty member: having recently commemorated over 35 years at Pacific Oaks and Children's School (As well as the "oldest" Pacific Oaks employee). In addition to teaching, advising, mentoring, troubleshooting and Thesis work, currently, Cheryl is the Chair of the Faculty Senate and The Faculty Coordinating Committee, as well as serving on several Institutional Committees.

Prior to Pacific Oaks, Cheryl worked in public schools in Kindergarten, First grade and Third Grade. Cheryl is well seasoned in the mission, values, philosophy and pedagogy that Pacific Oaks embraces and has taught, trained and supervised teachers in the Preschool, Kindergarten and Primary programs at Pacific Oaks Children School. Cheryl has been a trainer/consultant, mentor, Commencement speaker and a Keynote speaker at local, National and International levels. Cheryl's professional highlights include inclusion in Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Collegiate Faculty, several publications in Child Care Information Exchange Magazine, Early Childhood Today Magazine, The Japanese American National Museum and she is a contributing author to the Anti-Bias Curriculum Guide, published by the National Association for The Education of Young Children. (NAEYC) She has been featured in 2 television programs: "Focus," hosted by Victor Nawrocki and "Story of a People", hosted by Louis Gossett, as well as various radio productions. She is affiliated with several civic, spiritual and educational organizations and she is one of two Pacific Oaks professors who have presented at the prestigious, invitational Oxford Round Table Discussion, in Oxford, England.

In her spare time, Cheryl is an accomplished Musician and Choral director and loves to grow flower gardens.
