I am dedicated to student success both in the classroom as well as co-curricular learning. While pursuing my masters degree at California State University, Fullerton. I had the opportunity to student teach where I found myself in several conversations with students about their academic journey leading me to pursue a second master's degree in College Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. In addition to teaching at Pacific Oaks College, I am an adjunct instructor for West Los Angeles College in the College and Career Preparation Division where I teach both introduction to college courses as well as GED Exam Preparation classes. My grounding in historical content combined with the understanding of today's college student help me serve my students the best I can.
When I am not working, I have a passion for volunteering and spending time with my family. I have been married for 13 years and have two children. I am a Cub Scout den leader, Little League Coach, and a board member of the West Torrance Little League.
