Elizabeth Avetisian is a transpersonal scholar trained in research psychology. She has coached hundreds of graduate students and emerging scholars with diverse personal, professional, sociocultural, and linguistic backgrounds and research interests in critical scholarship and academic writing and has edited dozens of PhD and PsyD dissertations and peer-reviewed scholarly articles in broad range of multidisciplinary topics and research methodologies. Dr. Avetisian's professional background includes a 10-year corporate career in software and organization development, systems analysis, and technical training. Her scholarly interests lie in the intersection of contemplative neuroscience, depth psychology, and consciousness studies to elucidate the phenomenology of transpersonal experiences that propel the individual to their higher purpose. Her philosophical approach is inspired by ancient wisdoms, Indigenous, yoga, and shamanic traditions, as well as her own Armenian cultural heritage. Her somatic approach to embodied consciousness and intersubjectivity is influenced by her own personal rituals of meditation, breathwork, movement, and dance.
