I am a licensed MFT with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and a PhD in Human Development. In my practice, I have worked with a very wide variety of populations and have especially focused on under-served clients including children and clients who are Spanish-speaking. Outside of academia, I've been fortunate to have worked with Santa Clara County, NASA, Stanford, and more. In addition, I've done educational program development and administration, including with K-12 schools, along with speaking engagements and expert witness consulting.
While engaged in the field, I've also been teaching for nearly 20 years. This experience includes faculty positions at Gavilan College, National Hispanic University, Notre Dame de Namur University, and most recently Santa Clara.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I moved to the Bay Area when I was 18. I now live in the Cambrian area of San Jose with my wife Virginia and my 5-year old daughter Jessica. I look forward to getting to know each of you and sharing my own background which led to my decision to become a therapist, educator, and person who endeavors to support justice in all its forms
