Scott R. Van Sleeuwen, M.A., LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. His biological father immigrated from the Netherlands to Utah in the early 1950's, following WWII. Following his return to the United States, he attended the University of Utah, where he earned a B.A. in Consumer Studies and Family Economics. His interest in helping others, and making a positive impact in the world led to his decision to pursue an M.A. in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute (now Phillips Graduate University). Scott was licensed in 2006, and has been in private practice for 10 years. He has been employed by several large L.A. County contracted, non-profit mental health agencies throughout Los Angeles County for 13 years as a clinician, program manager, and clinical supervisor.
