Dr. Shey Quinton is Administrative Faculty for the School of Human Development at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena. Shey has spent the past 10 years in the field of education, and has also served as a Mental Health Clinician for school districts across greater Los Angeles. Prior to accepting the position of Administrative faculty, he was an Adjunct Faculty for Pacific Oaks College. Shey has launched two non-profit organizations as solution-focused entities that provide intervention and create community-based platforms to enrich the lives of others. He previously served on the Board of Directors for a local charter school specializing in Mental Health/Emotional Intelligence, and support in generated anti-bias curriculum/anti-bias learning environments. Shey is incredibly passionate about sharing valuable information across multiple platforms to invest in a socially progressive world, serving as a Consultant for Mental Health within the athletic population initiatives and local Mental Health support within the church community. He is an active lecturer, contributor to published written-work, and lends himself to facilitate and engage in round-table discussions within school districts and community platforms.
Growing up Nigerian-American in Los Angeles, Shey has lived as well as studied the diversity of multi-cultural dynamics relating to Human Development. He continues to serve as a constant contributor to continued research, scholarship, and the creative process of generating new ideas, beliefs, and progressive institutional platforms that lead to a sustainable future and inclusive communities for all.
